Most clients achieve optimal permanent hair reduction with 6-10 laser treatments spaced 4-8 weeks apart. The exact number depends on several factors including hair color and thickness (dark, coarse hair responds best), treatment area (face may need more sessions than legs), your individual hair growth cycle, and hormonal factors. During your consultation, we'll provide a personalized estimate based on your specific situation.
Laser hair removal can effectively treat nearly any body area with unwanted hair including face (upper lip, chin, sideburns, full face), neck, underarms, arms, hands, fingers, chest, back, abdomen, bikini line (standard, Brazilian, or full), legs (full or half), and toes. We can customize treatment to your specific needs, from small areas like the upper lip to full body hair removal packages.
Hair in treated areas begins shedding 1-3 weeks after each treatment-you may notice hairs falling out when showering or notice patchy hair loss. Results are gradual and cumulative, with each session reducing more hair. Most clients notice significant hair reduction after 3-4 treatments, with optimal permanent reduction achieved after completing the full series of 6-8 sessions.
Before your appointment: shave treatment areas (but don't wax or pluck), avoid sun exposure and tanning for 4 weeks prior, discontinue any photosensitizing medications, arrive with clean skin free of lotions or deodorant, and avoid caffeine 2-3 hours before treatment if you're sensitive to discomfort. We'll provide detailed pre-treatment instructions during your consultation.
There's no downtime after laser hair removal! Most clients return immediately to normal activities including work and exercise post 24 hours. You may experience temporary redness or mild swelling in treated areas for a few hours post-treatment. Avoid hot showers, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Apply sunscreen daily and avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after each treatment to prevent pigmentation issues.
