Electrolysis is a method of removing individual hairs from the face or body by the root using concentrated heat energy. After a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, the hair is removed with tweezers. Electrolysis is the only permanent, pain-free hair removal process.
Most areas of the body can be treated with electrolysis, including:
- Eyebrows
- Face
- Abdomen
- Thighs
- Breasts
- Legs
There are generally no permanent side effects, but sometimes a temporary, slight reddening of the skin may occur.
What is the Process?
Your Nirvana certified technician will evaluate the desired treatment area and construct a hair removal plan that is right for you. During your session, your technician will utilize an epilator device to produce the controlled heat energy, targeting individual hairs and cut off growth at the root. Depending on the location of the area, the amount of hair and the current condition of the skin/hair, your technician will conduct a series of sessions over the course of a few weeks or months, one or multiple times a week.
What does it Treat?
This process removes hair from the face and body, in common areas such as the brows, face, abdomen, thighs, chest and legs.
What are the Results?
Generally, there are no permanent side effects—other than smooth, hairless skin! Some clients may experience sensitivity or redness directly after a procedure.
