Lymphatic Massage moves fluid out of your tissues into lymph nodes where bacteria, viruses and other harmful microorganisms are removed from the body.
What is the Process?
Your Nirvana certified practitioner will expertly evaluate your condition and conduct a thorough massage of the affected areas to help move fluid. In this 45-minute to hour procedure, the practitioner will rub the affected areas in the direction of the lymphatic system’s circulation. On your practitioner’s evaluation, sessions should be scheduled over two to four week periods for the best results.
What does it Treat?
Fluid can build up in the lymphatic system, causing a condition known as lymphedema. It can be present at birth or can be developed after the removal of lymphnodes during surgery, such as a mastectomy.
What are the Results?
Some clients experience a reduction in swelling as early as the first week after a session. After multiple sessions, the massage will have reduced swelling caused by lymphedema and returned to a comfortable status.
